Where do I find NA practice test questions?

To find NA practice test questiong go to the following link:

What to take to the test site

1.        Take directions to the training site.  Be sure you know where you are going and the time. Plan to arrive early. You will not be admitted if you are late.

2.        Most tests are marked in pencil. Take at least 2 pencils (#2) with you. Be sure they are sharpened.

3.        Your drivers license or a photo ID

4.        Your certificate or completion report that shows you completed an approved TTT

5.        Your test confirmation card if you received one.

Physical Readiness

1.        Get a good night’s rest.

2.        Eat a good breakfast.

3.        Wear comfortable clothing.

Reduce Anxiety

1.        Be on time.

2.        Have the required materials: pencils, erasers.

3.        Do not rush through the test, but do not get stuck on one item.

4.        Do not worry about the whole test at once - tackle questions one at a time.

5.        Do not "score" yourself as you take the test.

6.        Do not look for letter patterns of correct answers.

7.        Do not panic if you have a memory lapse or mental block. This happens to everyone. Go on to the next item and come back to the trouble spot later.

8.        If you begin to feel nervous or anxious, stop for a moment, take some deep breaths, and let your body relax.

9.        Do not expect to know the answer to every question. Except some items to be too hard. Just do your best.

10.     Avoid unnecessary clock-watching, but do be aware of the time.

11.     Ignore other test-takers.

12.     Think positively.

Follow Directions

1.        Carefully listen to and read all directions.

2.        Do the sample questions even if you think you understand.

3.        Make sure you understand the questions before you begin. If you do not, ask questions!

4.        Read each question carefully. Read each answer thoroughly – do not assume that an answer is correct until you have read all possible answers. Sometimes you will need to reread to be sure you are answering what is being asked.

5.        Do not assume that all the questions in the same section follow the same patter. One question may ask for a true statement, the next may ask which statement is not true.

Have A Plan

1.        Begin by previewing the test. Develop your own plan or use the following plan: Glance through the entire test (or the section you are taking). As you skim, make a mental note

(a)     about which questions or sections: a) seem easiest or hardest, b) count for the most or least.

(b)     Roughly plan how much of your time to spend on each question or section. If some questions are worth more than others are, give those more time.

(c)     Now you are ready to take the test. Answer the easiest questions first.

(d)     When you come to a question that you do not know the answer to or seems impossible to answer, mark a large minus sign next to it.

(e)     When you come to a question that seems solvable but appears time consuming, mark a large + sign next to the question and place a guess answer on your answer sheet. Then move on to the next question.

(f)      After working all the easy question, your test should look something like this:

  1.

+2.

 -3.           Etc.

(g)     After working all the problems you can do immediately go back and work all the + problems. If necessary change your guess answer on the answer sheet for any problems you are able to work.

(h)     If you finish working your + problems and still have time left, you can either: a) attempt the minus question or b) spend your time reviewing test items that have been completed.

(i)       Us the elimination strategy for multiple choice tests. AS you eliminate an answer choice from consideration, mark it out on the test booklet as follows:

a.        the brown bear

b.       the fierce lion                        ??

c.        the angry man

d.       the frightened boy               ??

e.        all the above

Notice that some of the choices are marked with question marks. You will want to go back to these questions.

Complete the test.

1.        Stick with it and complete the test

2.        Review the entire test before turning it in.

3.        Be sure that the numbers on the test and the numbers on the score sheet are the same

4.        Erase any stray pencil marks

5.        Be sure you have competed all sections

6.        Be sure your name, address and other personal information is accurate and coded properly.
